Not sure what you mean. The GOP is in the process of accruing power so as to limit or legalize prosecution of that backlash.

If the Big-D Democrats were in the business of doing stuff people liked ObamaCare would have been far closer to single payer and bankers would have gone to prison.

Except Republican voters don't know what they actually like which is why it took them 8 years to realize the ACA was Obamacare and that it is actually a good thing they do like. So I disagree a bit here.
