That's not actually what I said. I said the people who use it don't reflect on how the term derives from a normalization of Jim Crow.
So maybe those who use it unthinkingly ought to consider whether Russia was right to point to Jim Crow as a problem with the US or not?

Absolutely! Because it's so easy to understand how it is a gross political act. Whataboutism as a term depended on white people not understanding same about Jim Crow.
