      Main impact on Flynn wd be if Zarrab testifies he knew of the alleged plan to spring him, as reported by NBC: Dec. '16 mtg between Flynn & son and unnamed Turks, at '21' Club in Manhattan, involving a $15MM payment for twin objectives: freeing Zarrab and extraditing Gulen.+

      Zarrab was arrest March '16. Flynn wasn't engaged by Turks (via Inovo AG) till Aug. '16. So, unless there is an earlier history betw Flynn & TK that we're not aware of, Zarrab cd have had no direct k'ledge of Flynn's TK-related activities prior to being taken into US custody.+

      Any k'ledge Zarrab may have re. Flynn's activities wd date from AFTER his US arrest. Likeliest possible source of k'ledge of a plan to spring Zarrab wd. be via Zarrab's Turkish lawyer's jailhouse visits ("sit tight, we're going to get you out of here. Don't cooperate.").

      VERY interested in whether Giuliani & Mukasey have had any involvement in the case since the summer. From what I can see, they played out their 'diplomatic resolution' effort over the summer (after mtg Erdogan in Ankara in April), and came up short. Think they went to ground.

          But it would be awfully nutty for Mueller to go after an AG he used to work for. Gotta be some kind of conflict, no?

          First, I don't have any info that Giuliani was anywhere near the '21' Club mtg. That wd. obviously be explosive. If there is any basis for prosecuting Giuliani, I don't think Mueller wd. hesitate,notwithstanding their professional history.+

          Second, Giuliani was in league w/ FBI NY field office during campaign, and together they hung Comey out to dry. Think Mueller wd remember that mistreatment of his friend, Comey.

          RZ was visited regularly in custody by a Turkish defense lawyer. I'm positing that lawyer briefed RZ on '21' Club plan to spring him, and RZ can testify to what he was told abt that plan, which involved Flynn. Beyond that, don't know what Zarrab might be able to say abt. Flynn.
