It would be useful if you included the details that definitively disprove claims, such as the one that RU had limited success hacking top targets.

I don't think any of the claims are definitively proved or disproved. I agree that the compilation is not exhaustive. I concentrate on some things, not so much on others.

You're telling me that a year after it was publicly reported that FSB had hacked Joint Chiefs & State it was not disproven that FSB had had Tier One hacking successes?

I don't want to fight with you. The document is what it is. Add more to your version if you want.

No. But you also don't want to admit that it was WIDELY KNOWN that FSB had had successes against high level US targets. My stuff on how ridiculously far behind dossier was on hack and leak is here: https://www.emptywheel.net/2017/09/06/john-siphers-garbage-post-arguing-the-steele-dossier-isnt-garbage/ …

Oh wow. Yes I am an EVIL PERSON who is not instantly agreeing with you. I didn't follow that part closely. You did. Seems to me it makes more sense to work together than to yell at each other, but obviously YMMV.

Cheryl, where did I say you were evil? I didn't. I said that the project would be better served if it noted things that were definitively wrong in real time, much less now.

As I've noted, to extent dossier might bear out it's on the trips to RU, not on hack&leak. But that itself raises real questions, Qs that might be answered by Steele's forté ($, not digits) or by disinfo.

What I have done is collected evidence and set it against the dossier's claims. I have made my work public so that others can use it. I do not claim that it is exhaustive or definitive.

I have been impressed at the degree to which you and I agree, although I haven't said much about it. I will probably evaluate some of the areas that I have been following more closely. I hope you continue on your areas of interest.

I wasn't sure I had "areas of interest," as I've assessed the dossier from a slew of angles (including obvious contradictions in Steele/Fusion's stories). I'd love to hear what approach I'm missing, actually, cause I'm happy to address them.

I guess this is why I haven't said much about agreeing with you.
