I have followed you for a long time because I value your insights into our intelligence community. My only point is that I believe our democracy faces the biggest threat of my lifetime - our President. Ad hoc broad coalitions must form to defeat him.

Our democracy does face the biggest threat of all time. But Trump is merely the symptom. Hayden is another symptom. If he wants to make right, fine, but don't mistake what the real issue is.

If we seek only to remove Trump and not fix the system, someone far more competent than him will come after. And part of the danger is that people like Hayden have made the Fed govt unaccountable.
