It ENTIRELY skips Mueller's role in Bush's illegal dragnet, both his cooperation with it for years, his role in Hospital Hero, and his role in setting up equally problematic dragnet under FISC.

There's the complete silence on all the banks that didn't get prosecuted under late Mueller tenure. That's partly Lanny Breuer/Holder's fault. But partly complete refocus on terrorism.

In any case, my take on Mueller is 1) he's good bc he calmed FBI/DOJ and knows how to negotiate that bureaucracy 2) he's actually pursuing some of his own unfinished business 3) he also put together a superb team.
