My infused pumpkin came out particularly well last night! I had freshly opened star anise which made the difference I think.

Also note, assuming I still have some in the freezer, I make my crust w/high quality stone ground wheat flour. Adds a nice nuttiness to compliment the pumpkin. (Oops better get the unsalted butter out of the freezer.)
