For that matter, no individual member of the House matters all that much in the current environment, whereas every single senator matters. Having Franken's seat vacant even for a day could matter, flipping a seat certainly would. And yes, you're right.
Dunno. Given gerrymandering the House is still a challenge, but if Cernovich only has dirt on someone in a +33 Dem CD, then there's only so much damage he can do with these leaks.

In a close 2018 House race, if there's dirt on a Dem nominee, that could matter at the margins. But there are 16 current Dem male senators from states with GOP governors, incredible potential to do damage with tax reform, etc on the line.

I expect Franken to leave sooner rather than later. The pressure is coming from liberal groups to resign.
