I thought the same thing. Could it be because Sessions delayed his recusal (refused?), so that would bolster possible obstruction charges? That’s the only thing I can think of right now.
I think if Sessions recused before the Comey letter he violated his recusal bc it pertained to election related stuff.

I suspect it hinges on what he meant when he said it was always expected he would recuse during his testimony earlier in the year

When he talks about Sessions recusal, Trump's like a guy in high school who asks this girl to the prom b/c he thinks she's so very nice & smart & dtf and sure enough on prom night she's so very nice & smart.

Actually thinking about it, it might have been Comey who said it was always expected that Sessions would recuse in his hearing. I forget.
