Right, but my only question is we can't tell what timezone these printed out DMs are set to, and whether it is the same as Don Sr. Likely, but not certain?

The Atlantic reported that the DM preceded the tweet, fwiw

But they have printed DMs. How can they verify that? Just saying that errors in Twitter timing are more common than not.

I don't know, I'm just saying I trust the Atlantic to verify facts before assuming time zones

They hadn't fully reported the story when they went with it. That observation came from a twitter observation and was added. So, um, I await proof someone did the basic forensic work to make that claim.

The observation publicly originated in that Twitter observation but who knows if they subsequently checked the time zones before adding that observation to the story?

If Atlantic only has printouts, how do they do that? Again, I think the observation is LIKELY correct, but I asked yesterday if anyone had done the necessary forensic proof and got no answer.

*whispers* maybe they have more than just the printouts

Maybe. In which case they can say, "yes we've verified this." Hasn't happened yet.

Sure, but if they have obligations not to disclose certain sources or access then they could be reluctant to do. Agree it's a good question though.
