They hadn't fully reported the story when they went with it. That observation came from a twitter observation and was added. So, um, I await proof someone did the basic forensic work to make that claim.

If Atlantic only has printouts, how do they do that? Again, I think the observation is LIKELY correct, but I asked yesterday if anyone had done the necessary forensic proof and got no answer.

Sure, but if they have obligations not to disclose certain sources or access then they could be reluctant to do. Agree it's a good question though.
