I think that's a too expansive claim, but it also kind of doesn't matter. The dossier is just one compilation of information that was at the time and has since been picked up on in other investigations.

then please show me a single accurate prediction. just one. the dossier is a compilation of _public_ information beefed up with lots of bullshit.

Without knowing a heckuva lot more, can't say for certain what was lucky guesses and what was things picked up from accurate rumors. And if it's stuff that happened, it makes sense that multiple sources picked up on it. But again, I don't see why it matters?

what are those "lucky guesses" and "accurate rumors" please? everything in the dossier that's verifiably true was already in the public domain at the time the respective steele memo was written.

That people in the Trump campaign *were* in talks with Russian agents about dirt on Hillary. The dossier got that broad claim right. You can say it was a lucky guess based on rumor, sure, but maybe they were based on rumors that traced back to the source. And again, who cares?

So, are you proposing that Steele just decided to write some fanfic on his laptop, and that's where the doc came from? I'm not totally sure what you're arguing here.

first and foremost i am arguing that people need to let go of the fucking dossier. it's crap. it's counterproductive. it clouds judgment. it's an own goal.

I guess I just don't see the focus on the dossier that you do, or reason for concern. It's a source of raw and disorganized info, and some of it will turn out right and some of it will turn out wrong, but it's small compared to everything that's come out since.

do i really have to show you the dozens and dozens of articles screaming "steele dossier confirmed!" every damn week?

Imagine if John Podesta were still claiming it was coming true, for example.
