Except for the part where she is tracking him down through Comey's kids. That was very stalkery.

Comey's adult children, I think you mean. AKA "a hop," like any other hop. Again, stuff Ben is totally willing to support when it is done by, say, Jim Comey's folks.
-
Jim Comey's FBI, of course, was perfectly happy to include all users on Friends and Family plans in their metadata analysis, prolly bc "family" is _so revealing_.
-
Remember what
@Comey's response to@ashleyfeinberg's "stalking" was? To post the link to FBI jobs.@benjaminwittes -
To be clear, I don't share Wittes' characterization of her journalism, or at least to the extent I do, I approve of it. I just thought she'd be the type to be proud of that description.
-
Much in the same way that Wittes is a good sport about being a "handmaiden of power". A characterization I do share. At least certain kinds of power.
-
On a side note, it would be incredibly hypocritical if I of all people called her journalism a "creepy stalker effort". I've done similar just to challenge public statements by a music artist which music journalists later picked up on.

I suppose when yer trying to protect someone's online personna that solid investigative journalism can seem creepy and stalking-ish I fondly remember a TV show, as a teenager, in which an investigative Journalist followed all kinds of creepy stuff and "Stalker" was in the title
-
Haha. Night Stalker.

I love saying that knowledge of comey's twitter account endangered his natsec efforts but not creating the account in the first place. HRC should have used that line on Comey. 'Revealing that I used a private server is what really jeopardized national security.'
