Bannon knows how many cabinet members were picked by Pence as a surrogate for the Kochs. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/11/the-west-wing-trump-is-apoplectic-as-allies-fear-impeachment …pic.twitter.com/FxbItvJ0IW

How are you seeing that as a shortcut for Rs? Wouldn’t it require a House vote ultimately to sustain?
Right: But I think they're increasingly facing an impeachment, with the long disclosure of Trump's dirt, or 25th A without an airing of that
And I think everyone legit really believes he is not competent, aside from all the RU and corruption.
Q: Rs strike me as 2 greedy to pull the trigger. Thoughts?
For a while I assumed they were just letting Trump pass unpopular leg their patrons wanted, only to throw him out and let Pence start clean.
Cabinet members serve at will. Pence would have to bat 1.000 guessing who would support removal. Tip off one loyalist and trump can purge
Remember, removal takes effect only when Speaker and Pptot Senate are ~notified~. Firings can preempt.
Scotus would never intervene. So real question is where loyalties of security forces lie—Mattis, Sessions, and DHS Sec’y.
To quote a line, when you play the game of thrones you win or you die. If someone suggests 25th A and loses, they're politically dead.
Of course, even if you win on the 25th A, there's still the risk of getting primaried by Trump's base--which is still strong.
They’ve all been waiting for a grand tax cut. When that fails there aren’t too many excuses left.
The GOP is afraid of Trump's personality cultists. They're as crazy and dangerous as him and everyone knows it.
the only ones I can definitely see on Trumps side are Sessions and Carson.
They are too complicit.
Tough choice for them: no way removing him w/o massive damage to party. Maybe better to “let” Mueller and Ds force him out.
Big risk of a 25th Am coup is that President Pence is now at risk of impeachment for using it (Not that there's anything wrong with that :-)
How is it easy? Would infuriate their base.
I’m shocked you’re shocked. A) They’re gutless worms. B) They’re scared his base will primary them. C) They still hope to pass their agenda.
They will as soon as they get tax breaks for the rich and more judges.
