I think having widespread verified identities would go a long way actually. Make it really clear what's real people vs anonymous.

It would also take away the ability of EVERYONE (including people trying to keep their job) to speak freely.

I'm not saying you'd have to be verified to speak. I'm saying make it easier to verify if you choose.

I follow a lot of anonymous accounts, but I unfollow if I get the impression they aren't on the up and up.
