1) Kaspersky reported their hack to legal authorities in 2015. In RU, that's FSB. So by reporting Israeli (sic) hack, Kaspersky alerted FSB.
2) Symantec was included in April RU BGP hijack. RU is going to use same tactics v US AV firms, so targeting KAV won't fix things.
The difference being that no other AV firm will focus as closely on NSA hacking as Kaspersky.
