It's a function of the employment dynamic in showbiz... everybody is part of a pyramid/tree, similar to college football. A ton of people who have never been in the same room with Weinstein will lose work.

This is obviously no excuse. But the people with enough power to bring him down, wouldn't be risking just their livelihood, they'd be risking work for 10s and in some cases 100s of people depending on them. It's shitty calculus.
