So I'm wondering if it's possible they'd have them operating in parallel. Also, thoughts on WSJ report ONLY 1824 obtained in 2nd go-around?

Oh really? I didn't see that (re only 1824 for second time), but let me think. Would be consistent (poss more so) with "going dark" on comms

Re parallel cases, yes it's possible. A CI agent would pass criminal info to trim side, and a *separate* squad/agent old open criminal case.

Right it seems like there'd me utility in using 1824 for broader standard in stored but criminal for data in motion.

Especially bc criminal now has lower standard for location data than FISA (or did in 2014).
