Chait: Overton-window policing in service of the health insurance vultures.
Let's see. His argument is 1) no one has solved single payer 2) I'm sure Bernie's approach is wrong.

-
Also his claims abt taxes has been debunked and/ALSO it was a key part of funding ACA. Shall I go on?
-
I'd add that he's one of the people who pioneered the habit of conflating "care" and "insurance," which GOP used to great advantage.
-
But that's all before you get into Overton window, which was my point.
-
I don't see the Overton windowing. Chait is saying, "To know if this would work, we'd need to know X and Y, but we don't."
-
You responded to MY tweet, which raised Overton windows.
-
That Chait doesn't understand how shifting debate on an issue affects policy is part of problem.
-
Fair enough. I guess he could respond, "The debate has already shifted. The next step, legislation, requires details, and this falls short."
-
And any half-sentient rock could respond, "legislation requires a majority, and we don't win those when we run without inspiring ideas."
