NYT analysis for Amazon HQ2 location has GR making the cut based on job growth. Drops off from there. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/09/09/upshot/where-should-amazon-new-headquarters-be.html …
Only way we could be competitive is if DeVos offered to subsidize direct flights to Seattle and SF, as well as more to NYC, and DC.

Oh I'm sure Right Place and GRR has already reached out to Delta.
-
I discovered the other day one can no longer fly directly to Cinci.
-
Can't remember which airline it was but I think they dropped it a few months back in exchange for some other route.
-
Would have been Delta. Now you gotta go to ATL. The feckers.
-
The Delta aspect would seemingly make Detroit more attractive
-
Yeah. DTW is a lovely airport. It's one of the only things I miss from living in A2 (and I love GRR).
-
Amazon would ruin GRR and it's wonderfully easy security checkins
-
You haven't flown in awhile have you?

Airport is big enough, and oh so accessible (they'd have to build one more parking garage floor). But almost no direct flights, as you know
-
Amazon or not, I figure it's only a matter of time until we get a direct west coast flight or two.
