Unloading all the adware off mom's 30-day old phone and wondering why there aren't easy, safe solutions for seniors.

Oof. Classic case of recommending what you like vs what fits better for the other person. Pixel is adware free but $$$

Never knew about adware on phones. Now glad my blind daughter always insists on Apple products.

Saw a blind friend I used to read for last year after decades. It was amazing how much iPhone has replaced.

Seriously. I spent 30+ years reading to my daughter & am much too thankful not to have to do that anymore. LOL

Because capitalist tyranny means there's a "legit" market for exploiting them.

This is why my parents have iPhones. We haven’t had that issue since they got them. Yes they’re expensive but used to have so many issues.

Can't afford one. I just got a refurbished Lenovo for my birthday. It's my phone that's at issue. But it's old, prob need a newer one.

Androids are amazing w/ all that they can do, but they are too rich of a target for hackers to ignore.

I get it but again, iPhones are out of touch for me. I'm on SSDI, very little extra. Maybe at Christmas.

Because phone manufacturers & sellers look on seniors as low hanging fruit & easy 2 take money from so why do things in way that stops that?
