I mean, this country elected a Reality Show TV star to be President. A stampede to video fixes that ... how?

It's the main reason I updated to the beta version of macOS - the new Safari refuses to play *any* video automatically. Ahhh.
-
Use firefox and run NoScript for real BS video blocking power.
-
I haven't tried FF in years, but Safari has really gotten great as far as built in granular control over privacy/tracking/java/flash/video.

Apple makes too much $ on your data to trust. IMO NoScript is the only reason to use FF. Ability to see all scripts on a webpage is magic.
-
Apple sells products and services at exorbitant prices, they don't (and don't need to) sell their users' info. Anyway, a bit OT.

Yes off topic, but I politely disagree with you. Our data is being stored and used by everyone that can access it.
-
I misinterpreted your comment as selling data to third parties-they do use the data themselves. I trust
more bc they don't depend on ad $.
