We've all seen John Doe's on indictments before, when they know the activity they're charging but not the person
So that means they've IDed the second defendant
Not necessarily.
In what cases would they use a non-Doe surname for an unidentified defendant?
Especially where they have two pseudos.
So: "pseudo1, ... " online aliases including "alias1"?
Personally, I'm wondering how they obtained any forensically-sound evidence...
See comment about seized servers. Tho that doesn't say the chat logs would be forensically sound.
I'm thinking specifically about the chat logs. Maybe CD was ID'd with AB servers; warrant obtained, additional equipment acquired in a raid?
Wild speculation: MTB was publicly WH by the time this is supposed to have happened. Codefendant maybe kept logs for blackmail purposes?
