Yes, and we will and do continue to disagree abt relative role of RU. I'm NOT a fan of making Putin more important than he is.

Did I blame racism on Putin?? I said the OPPOSITE. You keep saying that's what I'm saying. You're ignoring what I'm actually writing.

No. I'm noting your continued use of the word "mirror" and reliance on a bunch of analysis I find to be ridiculously bad.

I used "mirror" in terms of politics -- as in we haven't had an EXPLICITLY far right racist party for ages. We do again now -- like in EU.

We don't have an explicitly far right party. We have and always have had a right wing party in which explicit racists have played a role.

But the GOP has (as I noted and you blew off) RELIED on racist suppression to win elections since 2000. Could not win w/o it.

I didn't blow it off. Anybody with any sense knows that, and that's what I said. I don't get the disconnect here.

You said suppression has been a fact since Jim Crow. True! But demographics have changed and it is far more important now.

Well, yeah! There was huge suppression in S Carolina/Michigan, I bet in Fla, too. Where did I minimize that?

Where you said there was a new mirroring going on.

And yes. In FL. Bush doesn't win FL in 2000 (to extent he did) w/o vote caging.
