"Asher Wolf hereby pardons 'my sentence' so I can go free." There, Asher, you've just freed me from prison!
Nah. I think I am doing what I do for indictments generally, and have for years: read through the weak points. You?
-
-
It is my extensive experience that when 1) govt immediately backtracks off claims 2) hides claimed evidence there's reason for it.
-
so uh, you're saying the indictment... looks weak?
-
No. Please don't make up what I'm saying again.
-
-
There are about 10 different ways you could take it. Apparently you've decided the only way it can be taken though.
-
Again, this is very basic. I've been reporting on US DOJ for years. There are things to look at in early days of cases to assess strength.
-
3 of those are 1) immediately moving goalposts 2) conflicting claims FROM DOJ 3) evidence not strong enough for indictment.
-
That doesn't mean the case is shit. It means those are things that DOJ has a pattern of doing that sometimes indicate weak cases.
