I wonder if Trump understands game theory enough to correctly gauge moment when his term will be dominated by losses, leading him to quit?

Yes, but then narcissism takes over and then he will not want to let go.

Also 1) awareness that if he doesn't continue to monetize the Presidency debt will swallow him 2) legal exposure/pardon power.

He'll monetize it long after he's gone. Why need your silly plagiarized coat of arms when you can use the US's?

I don't think monetizing works anymore once he leaves office. Who will suck up to him when he has no power and his debt is obvious to all?

I think it will probably depend on how rotten Muller ends up exposing him as vs. an ordinary political ouster.

Inasmuch as either Trump gets impeached because the GOP are sick of inaction or whether he's been actually treasonous. Either may work.

In the Muller-exposes-Trump scenario? Maybe. Narcissism is a heck of a life-preserver though.

Other speculation I might do in non-public channels for fear of confusion. ;)

Ah yes. "Confusion." Had my hesitations about even mentioning suicide.
