Once dated a guy whose father missed birth of all 4 sons (all born in October) bc he was watching Browns-Steelers game in person.

Of course, this was different time, when Browns were good. SO he can be forgiven for soaking up that joy & making it to hospital end of day.

He might have made it up to try to convince me the 1990s Browns were worth rooting for. But the birthdates all line up.

That is an amazing story. If true, I wonder how it affected all four.

Well, they were all Browns fans into the 1990s. So they were scarred for life, obviously.

All October births. Does this mean that all 4 were conceived after the Browns had been eliminated from the postseason?

Don't think it matches up quite that well. For some of those conception years Brownies were doing quite well.

Odds that Steelers are playing at Cleveland on any given day is 365-1.This strains credibility. Never mind that labor took place at 1PM too?

They play twice a year. Totally plausible.

Typically you would only watch the home game. If he was traveling to watch twice a year odds drop to around only 1 billion to 1.

He watched both. IIRC the boys were 4 years in a row, or one off. So two were away births.

Well getting pregnant 3 mo after delivery is a notable feat. 3 years in a row.

This family was not Catholic, but you do know that's not unusual for Catholic families?

4 births in 36 months is a feat, Catholic or not.
