Both friend in grad school and sis in law have done much work in this topology and related "every culture has their dumpling" one.

But somehow (maybe the dumpling?) Ireland fails the test. Which must mean they're not cultured.

The grad school friend is Polish, so for her it's actually the pierogi test. Sis in law is Asian. So dumpling test.

But I think a burrito does pass the pierogi/dumpling test. But it's also like a sandwich. Or maybe tacos should get sandwich billing?

Sure. However, it indeed is *like* a sandwich but *not* a sandwich. Tacos are also *not* a sandwich unless the shell is broken into two dist

Shell? It's a soft tortilla, not a shell.

still... a connected tortilla taco is not a sandwich unless it was broken into two parts

Is a hoagie a sandwich, if the top and bottom of the bun have not been fully separated?

"Hoagie." Now that'll really confuse the topology.

no no, a hoagie is a sandwich if the bun and base are disconnected
