He believed, but did not know and does not know. Didn't matter to him either. He wanted the emails no matter from where. So what is there?

I'd say his belief he was working with Russians is proof of his willingness to work with RU hackers, which is what I asserted.

And your response--that it didn't matter to him--further backs my assertion.

He may have had a willingness to work with hackers. Did not matter what nationality they were as.that made zero difference for his purpose.

Sure. For the second time you've confirmed that my point--that he was willing to work w/RU hackers--is correct. Thanks for the endorsement!

A willingness to work with ANY hacker if only they had the emails he hoped for does NOT MAKE a "Russian connection".

"Ru hackers", as you used it, sounds to me like a (made up) "Russian connection". Why not "Va hackers" and point to the Pope?

I could do that. Of course, we don't know of large scale VA hacking efforts.

0 evidence Clinton's private server hacked. 0 evid. of Russian hacking. 0 evid. Smith was on to something. Meanwhile Repubs kill healthcare.

Agree the first is the FBI's public claim (it is not actually true). The second is a load of horse shit. Third is true. Fourth, also true.
