WaPo has done a very good job of claiming Mitch McConnell was evil for not making a statement that preceded IC attribution last fall.
And, AGAIN, the NSA STILL doesn't consider what he briefed to be high confidence intel. Still.

Dont have the ICA in front of me, but I don't think NSA disagreed with any conclusions. Just had med conf vs. high on a conclusion or two.

A conclusion. This one. Still has med confidence.

What are you trying to say? Please point me in right direction https://www.dni.gov/files/documents/ICA_2017_01.pdf …

I've already said it. As does the WaPo piece. https://www.emptywheel.net/2017/06/23/the-compartments-in-wapos-russian-hack-opus/ …

Thanks, I see your points now. Could not quite make sense of your tweets w/o reading your blog

Sorry. I'm cranky this AM.

Got through the blog, great analysis. But I still think McConnell's response was weak even if he "had cover (if not justification)"
-
That's fair. And also fair to assume it was so for cynical reasons. I'm just really uncomfortable w/assumption MoCs should be ahead of IC.
