I like how Macron's campaign handled it. Honey Pots, that's pretty slick.

Right. But I would bet a good deal of money they had assistance of DGSE. Would DNC have let FBI into their computers to do the same?
-
Well, they had threat connect. You know, market solutions.

Privatization is the USA's downfall… -
Well they didn't bring in CS until 9 months after FSB arrived (tho had them in to investigate Bernie in interim).
-
Crowdstrike.

If they'd had Akamai set up they'd have seen unusual access. Without knowing the configuration on their mail or web servers, it's conjecture
-
It's hard to tell if they had basic security measures set up because one of those 1st level basic security things is don't share a password

I mean...no. That was a very different time.
-
So DNC would respond to ANY warning about state level threat hacking them by blowing it off for 9 months?
-
They thought they had everything under control. It's hard to get alarmed about getting near the tipping point when it's already behind you.
-
Nah, actually they did nothing.
-
That's what I mean. They thought they were seeing clearly, and wouldn't have internalized contrary information.

Can u pls pt to a thread/article showing what u feel is the most concrete attribution evidence.
-
Confused where ur certainty comes from given all the holes pomed through CS assessment
-
The holes in the CS assessment, IMO, come from the APT 28 side, not APT 29.
-
What evidence though? Every detailed tech article concludes possible, but far from definitive
-
esp since once malware's deployed once, it can be picked up by anyone, edited etc
-
Not to mention the metadata evidence which is super easy to create & edit
-
Unless ur aware of some intercepted communication from RUS gov, confused why uve been so certain past yr
