Yes, Comey had huge impact. Yes, Clinton made mistakes. My effort to sort out who's to blame for her loss:http://wapo.st/2oBsOPE

Also, while I agree Comey had effect, BOTH GOP & Dem claims don't necessarily back import (diff reasons) and differential effect important
-
What do you mean by the latter point?
-
Trump campaign said surge started before 10/28, so it can't be ONLY thing (tho was strongest). Clinton campaign either had bad data or none.
-
Moreover, the public Clinton explanation comes from the pollster, who had to have badly screwed up, so has an incentive to blame Comey.
-
If your point is that there are some Clinton failings that deserved attention that I didn't mention, I wouldn't argue with that

Problem was she did campaign a lot in PA with same result. Also, primary states and general election wins were not at all correlated in 2012
-
In PA, but not in places like Erie.
-
the geographic misfires seem worth further exploration. I wish they would release their data for this purpose
-
I don't think if she campaigned more in these places she would have gotten their votes. Polling shows these ppl love Trump & aren't deterred
-
Kind of hard to make that arg. We don't know how campaigning might have changed, role of deplorables comment OR if it'd have changed her.
