They're taking over rest of garden, not the bed. Curiously, they're battling with single self-planted pea plant. Mint has taken over egress.

Right? Weird. I get the weirdest self-sows. 2 years ago I got a squash I hadn't planted the year before. It just...arrived over the 6' fence

Ah! So yours are 'leaping and sprinting' onion. ;-} My mints go in gallon plastic containers. Cut out bottom and bury with 1" above ground.

My mint was in a pot. BUt I'm fairly sure there it is at the bottom of the egress. Which, to be fair, is a great place for it.

Yeah, I have to police the runners that go over the edge kamikazi-style. Mint in a "good" place is wonderful. Smells so nice when walked on.
