Reason why "both" isn't the right answer (though it is the most obvious one) is bc I'm also planning on riding 35 miles tomorrow.

In retrospect the answer was obvious: the folks who're coming to dinner were JUST in the keys so rhubarb it is.
-
What kind of rhubarb pie? I make a double crust rhubarb custard that is amazing.
-
Sounds amazing. This will be standard "awesome butter crust and fruit" pie, w/loads of Hilhof dairy cream.
-
Original Betty Crocker cookbook for the recipe.
Yours sounds good too.

Rhubarb, after you juice and freeze the limes.

Answer is always Key Lime Pie

Do you have Key Limes? That is the key.
-
I do. Meijers has had them consistently of late.
-
Rhubarb is seasonal, but more people like key lime. To make rhubarb pie palatable you also need ton of sugar.

Add strawberries for perfection.

-
Not strawberry season yet! My egress window strawberries don't even have blossoms yet. But the pie smells *so* good.
-
Something to look forward to then.
