I wouldn't go that far. About a third of the septuagenarians-plus in Congress are still quite sharp.

Maybe. But. I guaran-fucking-tee you they're not as sharp as they were at 55, & their presence is blocking the development of younger talent

They can go do something else with their time if they're still that sharp. Form a think tank, etc. It's worth it to get rid of the 2/3.
