I think having a consistent strategy is useful (mocking, aggression, ignoring) but has to be organic instinct or gets exhausting

I should figure one out and stick with it, but it doesn't come naturally and I resent having to put in the effort.

And in addition to the (v. significant) emotional toll, it kills opportunities for meaningful discussion.

I actually HAVE been trying to engage more since election, too. At a minimum to create cognitive dissonance
