It seems like MA has avoided some of the affordability problems that ACA has seen. How do they do it? Higher subsidy levels?
-
-
-
No. They haven't. They had affordability rates from the start. 16-20% of covered adults couldn't afford care.
-
I pointed this out a ton in 2009. It was deemed uninteresting.
-
Ah. So, still a problem in MA then?
-
Yes. A problem in the state this was all based off of.
-
Thanks. Essence of problem is inadequate subsidy, right? Not necessarily structural? Plus, insurance antitrust stuff...
-
Nope. not in the least. Essence of problem RIGHT NOW is ACA was about subsidizing insurers, not providing care.
-
OK, I was thinking subsidizing buyers, but I think I get it. I think single-payer never happens. Who has proposed alternatives?

@DemLibs Weird argument to claim that NO ONE revived care under Obamacare. Very dogmatic like a conservative. -
Inventing shit will not make people love ObamaCare. You know that, right?
@DemLibs -
It is you that is inventing shit. Amazing how you just ignore 24,000 lives saved annually.
-
Seriously: QUOTE ME. You're a fantasist. SHOW ME THE QUOTE.
@DemLibs -
Yeah! And the ACA people who've spent their disposable income for no care? THem?
@DemLibs -
Feel stupid yet? Those 24,000 lives are saved with no out of pocket expense.
-
Talking to a fucking idiot who doesn't know Medicaid is just one part of ACA? Nope. Sorry. You're an idiot.

I note you didn't use the word "insurance" there. You willing to end protectionism for doctors?
