What does it mean?
Russia conducted info ops ("leaks") to influence public opinion / voter behavior. While not mentioned in the statement... /1
... the direction of the influence is clear. We can quibble about semantic difference between "to damage HRC" & "to help DJT" /2
... but the end result of both is the same. /3x
In other words, you've made my point, that this motive statement is all abt dodging the controversial statements.
I'm not disagreeing that the leaks targeted Hillary. I'm saying this statement dodged that.
Some things need not be said. The type and direction of "influence" is clear to anyone who cared to pay attention.
That also reminded me of a college freshman comp paper slathering on descriptives that mean little.
