Agree. EG are good at getting access; not at using it. GRU is reverse, and EG lost hard to GRU because of it this year.

EG just lost the getting access crown to FSB as well (but I think it's a fluke),

thing is, they can't do much that doesn't help Putin, or harm others. I don't see a good option ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Basically every EG response will hurt EG and help Putin; non-hacking options are smarter but foolishly sidelined by WH.

agreee. More sanctions is the best solution, that's what hurts Putin. Actually, a Trump presidency hurts him too

Trump presidency will bring high oil prices. Plus a unified RU-US fight against Muslims.

Normally, yes. But OPEC/RU already cozying up. & US hasn't had an Exxon CEO SoS before.

Right. But my point is I think SA trying to destroy US fracking industry hurt Putin more than US sanctions.

Absolutely agree. But in the Trump era, fracking, RU, and KSA can coexist happily as the world burns @thegrugq @daveaitel

very obviously they'll need a lot of fossil fuels to burn the world, its perfect!
