Curious: How so? And is it just Delta or is it just that you mostly fly Delta?
DTW contracts out their wheelchair service to a company called Prospect. They're never waiting @ the gate, take forever to show,
Ah, thanks. Any other difference? (My mom got ditched in a close Heathrow connection once, so I get that).
I've been left sitting on planes for 15-20 minutes, left sitting waiting for an attendant for up to an hour.
Yikes. That is horrible. Sorry to hear it.
Delta washes their hands of wheelchair pax entirely--leaves it all up to Prospect. If they leave you somewhere, DL doesn't care.
Everywhere? Or just DTW?
I've had it happen at ATL and PHX, too. I learned the hard way never, ever to fly through ATL.
