I never said this is doing my democratic duty. This is me venting so i have more energy for the boulder later, hopefully.
That's a sloppy cop out. But if you need to exonerate actually powerful people maybe you're not up for democracy?

In a democracy, the ultimate long-run power is the people. Who else could it be? I'm not exonerating them.
-
yes. You're exonerating the person who had all the resources here. And the responsibility.
-
If you're objecting that I have a judgment on quality of the campaign separate from the result, then yes, I'll agree to that.
-
So your judgement is the campaign that failed was great? OK. That's not democracy. Nope. No wonder you're sad.
-
Not great. Looked like it should have been good enough to me (better than Kerry, Gore, ...).
-
But you weren't one of the voters who wasn't persuaded so not a great judge.
-
I judge with my judgment. Including judging how I think things should be. What else would I do?
-
Maybe not be a condescending prick and ask why people find (before the election) Hillary unpersuasive?
