The difference could be easily explained by unpopularity of both candidates (and negativity of campaign). Is that what Hillary thinks, tho?

Under MI law, if you don't declare as a write-in candidate they don't count 'em. McMullin did. However (1/2)

in the two suburban PA state house races for which I reviewed vote canvasses, many Ryan & Kasich write-ins.

VERY quick look as we counted paper ballots to match electronic count.

No, IN. As I said, anecdotal, but there seemed to be general disgust with candidates.
