Thanks to silly people on Twitter I'm reminded that just one Senator voted against Jim Comey as FBI Director: Rand Paul.
-
-
Paul voted against Comey because he was uncomfortable with FBI's use of drones for surveillance in the US. He was mocked for that.
-
(They're sorry, Senator Paul. Though they won't admit that.)
-
Wyden and Merkley voted present because of concerns that Comey wouldn't answer when he would spy on Americans w/o warrants.
-
Other than those three, current most reviled man in DC pretty much given a pass on confirmation, even tho he had approved of torture in 2005
-
Some people on the Twitters seem to forget who was in charge of Senate when the guy who allegedly just elected Trump confirmed: the Dems.
-
And who nominated him!!!!
-
Undoubtedly an 11-dimensional chess plot to ensure his legacy would be dismantled in weeks. Genius!
-
Right? And yet very few have noted that.
