One of the things that affected discussion of this race is the involvement of NatSec experts into electoral politics.

No. I mean commentators. Comey fucked up royally. But he did it as part of his job.

his job says not to announce even an "ongoing investigation" unless he has enough proof for charges. He violated hatch act!

I doubt he violated Hatch Act (which is toothless in any case). He did violate lots of DOJ rules though.

No. I'm dealing w/law. I screamed very loudly abt what Comey did (as I've been screaming abt Comey since Dems rushed him through)

Comey is a GOP operative. He was approved by GOP Congress because he was acceptable to them. Don't change the story!

I'm sorry. Do you know who controlled Senate in 2013? Do you know what final vote total was? Do you know who picked him?

There were 3 people in the Senate who did not vote for Comey: Paul (the ONLY no vote), and Wyden and Merkley (who voted present).

We have hundreds (more?) positions, not just on SCOTUS, because of systematic blocking of nominations. Comey was GOP choice.

That is such unadulterated nonsense I don't know where to begin. The GOP took Obama hostage until he appointed him?

Comey was considered acceptable partly because of his performance protecting John Ashcroft (03/2004) from signing Torture memos,
