Even if this is just scheduled FOIA release, I don't think there is any requirement that the FBI add a file to the online searchable Vault.

It's not clear to me that there's any process for deciding what is posted. Site says "frequently requested records."

Obviously if this is just normal process, then the only issue is appearance. But if not, it sure looks bad for FBI's news cycle.

But if there was any discretion here, either on timing or on adding it to the Vault, that strikes me as a bad PR move.

I'm really happy to beat up FBI, and I'm thrilled to have such unusual company lately, but I think public FOIA responses OK
