Don't understand clothes women wear in sports. Why do women wear bikinis to run but swimmers wear shorts? Triaths wear old style suits.

I don't know how the different suits developed, but having done a lot of (short) tri's, I'll say in a tri suit is more comfrtbl

With the shorts, right? Most women in Olympics didn't have them. Old-style suits. I guess they're the pros, but...

yeah, they end just above the knee - way better for the bike, I'd hate to bike in just a swimsuit bottom

That's what I'd wear. If I ever decide I can far enough to do a very short tri.

I could do that. With training could even handle the run. But I'm not a runner and neither are my knees.

I walk the 5K. In women's tri, it's all about the fun. No one cares if you can't run.

Really? Cause then I could definitely do that. I even "run" in these races: http://miadventurerace.com/sleeping-bear-edition/race-information/ … Trotting bt points.

it's too bad the Danskin series is gone b/c they really were beginner-friendly. Just find a women's tri; all I've done were fun

There's one here I've thought about doing -- just usu stop swimming during warm months and so would need to be organized.

I suck at swimming. Truly. But maybe threre's one with just a 500 meter swim? Anyone can do 500 meters, even me.

I think I'm okay at swimming, fine at cycling. It's the running at the end that intimidates me.

If you're ok with swimming & cycling, then you're good. The ones I've done, a lot walked the 5K. If you jug even part, great
