I did voter protection in 2008, 2012. Both targeted (by GOP) virtually all-black normally low turnout precincts.

Even REALLY keyed in GOP lawyers were quickly dissuaded from frivolous challenges by a knowledgable counter-challenger (and I'm NAL!)

Unclear. Church was not sect I'd choose to have black polling place in. But he may have just been protecting his turf.
