Has any single person proposed a better replacement for terror watch lists? Kind of funny how neither side has.
I'm one of them. But let's start with something that targets the actual riskiest people.

-
Might you have a suggestion for a better targeting mechanism?
-
To have a better targeting mechanism you'd prolly want more info on front end.
-
What information on front end would be more useful?
-
Domestic violence is a better trigger for problem than terrorism. How do you feel about tracking that?
-
That's kind of already tracked? Misdemeanor DV conviction => prohibited possession. (n.b.: I suffered DV gunshot, in 2010.)
-
"Convictions" are. But many cases of reported DV are not prosecuted. Again, still better indicator than terror listing.
-
If prosecutors can't prosecute, it's still due process. I agree it's a better indicator than terror listing.
-
Yup. Absolutely a due process issue. But at least more efficacious, but in exclusion and inclusion than terror lists.
