If terror watch lists were reformed to have due process (to get off of them), all of the opposition would evaporate. :P

There's also the point that that would still be an ineffective fix.
-
not going to argue that, just stating that there's a lot of people who insist on due process.
-
I'm one of them. But let's start with something that targets the actual riskiest people.
-
Might you have a suggestion for a better targeting mechanism?
-
To have a better targeting mechanism you'd prolly want more info on front end.
-
What information on front end would be more useful?
-
Domestic violence is a better trigger for problem than terrorism. How do you feel about tracking that?

FBI has a list of people they have investigated -- "if investigated in the last X years and buying a big pile of guns, then ..."
-
"People they investigated" divorced from definition of "terror" or not? Off what standard or evidence?
-
If FBI committed resources to investigating, got warrants to do so, etc. and background check requested, then take another look.
-
Investigating WHAT? You ignored my point abt what.
-
I didn't ignore it. It is Twitter. Space is limited. What was the Orlando shooter previously investigated for? Start there.
-
Want a list? Start there.
-
FBI already has a list of those they have investigated. Different from some random bureaucrat just adding names.
-
Investigated for what? And again, based off what level of evidence? You keep dodging those two issues.

we need them at all?
-
Not sure. The Israelis don't have one right? Then they just assume all Palestinians are terrorists.
-
everyone in America should have a turn on the watchlist. Rotating every 6 month. To keep us safe.
-
I like that idea.
