If there was a sarcasm button for tweets, I'd have it taped down just in case I accidentally tweeted and ppl didn't realize it was a joke.
@grumpyboy Once taught a deaf woman and learned the hard way there's no sign language for sarcasm. @ErrataRob @thegrugq

@emptywheel@ErrataRob@thegrugq I meant a symbol that notified the reader that previous sentence was sarcastic -
@grumpyboy So did I. When you're watching sign & don't know speaker, hard to pick up on other signs, apparently.@ErrataRob@thegrugq -
@emptywheel@ErrataRob@thegrugq Think? ive seen deaf people convey sarcasm while signing but I guess it would be tough to do -
@grumpyboy No. I'm saying it was hard for deaf student to tell *I* was being sarcastic@ErrataRob@thegrugq -
@emptywheel@ErrataRob@thegrugq perhaps a sarcasm sign needs to be added -

@emptywheel@ErrataRob@thegrugq I guessing deaf people can use facial expressions to signify sarcasm? -
@grumpyboy Right. But deaf people watching sign (ergo, not face of speaker they don't know well anyway) will miss that.@ErrataRob@thegrugq
